Features of Garret

Despite my eagerness to recite countless tales of adventure and splendor, it is imperative that I give each and every one of you readers a short geography lesson.

Garret is a world comprised of five continents:
  • Sakkaku
  • Delmin
  • Fintaar
  • Crestin
  • Zhet
Sakkaku (Sa-kah-koo) is the diverse land where most gifted people live. The whole continent is split into three roughly equal countries. In ancient times there were two countries, ruled by two tribes which constantly fought against each other. But a quarter shy of a millennia ago, the third country was formed.

Delmin, (Del-min) or "Delmint" as the residents so affectionately call it, is a vast kingdom divided by the cardinal rose, with one monarchy controlling each division save for the South. Though the people are different from place to place, the ideals are similar throughout the kingdom: Respect the North, Pay the South no mind, and do not accept outsiders and their technology.

Fintar
(Fin-tarr) is known to all throughout the world as a no man's land where those who are exiledare sent. The only native people are barbarians. It is a vast desert, with no other information currently known.

Crestin (Crest-in) is the snow covered north pole of Garret. It is made up of twelve countries, each "Working together for a brighter tomorrow" as they say. The buildings are made of snow and ice, and everyone wears parkas all the time, creating much confusion for foreigners.

Zhet
(Zhet) a mountain island that reaches the heavens, is regarded as a holy place by most everyone in the world. It is the resting place of Gods and Goddesses alike, as well as the beginning and end of the "Awakening Pilgrimage," a journey every priest in training must undergo to achieve his title.
